iPhone Battery Problem

Getting a data about iPhone complaints and consulting for Apple is our object of team project. We will be giving presentation on next Tuesday. Each team will have 15 minutes to present. The part that I was given in my team is about iPhone battery problem. As I was researching it, I realize that most smart phones that are in the market these days have short battery life span problem. I believe it’s because of the fact that the more useful applications you use, the more it requires battery power. One thing I noticed though, iPhone’s battery is not removable. I was wondering why Apple product inventors made this way. Unlike iPhone, Samsung’s Galaxy S provides customers battery removable phone with an extra battery. In this way, the user can charge the phone and the extra battery at the same time and carry both in case of one of them dies. I was just curious that Steve Jobs and his colleagues intended to make this way. It is hard to imagine that Apple didn’t have the technical skills to make removable batteries. Apple is charging about $85 to customers who need to change their iPhone batteries. I guess this is the one of the strategies that Apple has to make some extra profits from customer service department.
